Ooredoo Qatar – Character Development & Storytelling Animation

As part of a technical proposal for Ooredoo Qatar, we were tasked with creating a set of original characters to represent the brand’s digital transformation journey, particularly focusing on the online purchase experience. The goal was to engage audiences through character-driven storytelling, using a mix of illustrations and short animated filmsto bring each persona to life. These characters were designed to embody Ooredoo’s innovative spirit, technological leadership, and commitment to customer-centric solutions.

Meet the Characters:


Mr. Teckey

A brilliant young technologist, Mr. Teckey is obsessed with innovation and connected living. With several patents under his name and a deep understanding of digital ecosystems, he is a symbolic figure of Ooredoo’s future-forward vision. His smart glasses—one of his own inventions—serve as a powerful tool in his mission to digitalize Ooredoo’s services and simplify customer experiences.

Slash

Born in the virtual world and powered by advanced AI, Slash is a robotic assistant created to make digital services seamless and accessible. Named after the “/” symbol that connects the online world, Slash helps users navigate Ooredoo’s services with ease from the comfort of their homes. With a digital face screen that expresses emotions and a humorous personality, Slash is both functional and relatable.

Geekster

At just 11 years old, Geekster is a tech prodigy with a curious mind and a heart full of innovation. Inventor of the “O Helmet”—a device that allows him to physically enter the digital world—Geekster represents the younger, tech-savvy generation. He explores the internet from within, debugging systems and finding creative solutions to modern challenges.

Ooredions

A quirky and unexpected creation, Ooredions are sentient creatures that emerged from a design accident involving the Ooredoo logo and a power surge. Loyal, protective, and endlessly playful, these creatures serve as the unofficial guardians of the Ooredoo brand. They add a fun, whimsical energy to the campaign while still reinforcing brand loyalty and identity.


 

This project reflects our expertise in character design, brand storytelling, and animation production for telecom and digital services. By combining humor, emotion, and futuristic design, we helped Ooredoo Qatar envision a storytelling universe that not only informs but also entertains—making their digital services more relatable and appealing to a broad audience.
