A walk-through animation for Qatar Development Bank's online application system — designed to move a first-time applicant from "I have an idea" to "I've opened an account" in under two minutes.
The brief
QDB's online application portal is the front door for small and medium enterprises seeking financing. The film had to demystify the steps without making anyone feel talked-down-to.
We built an on-screen companion who walked with the applicant, celebrating each completed step and gently prompting when a form needed more info. Calm, credible, specific.
How we worked
01 — UX research
Watched five applicants use the portal before we animated a single frame. Fixed the pain points we could in the script, flagged the rest.
02 — Companion character
One guide, one voice, full run-through.
03 — Data-careful
No invented stats. Every number tied to published QDB figures.
04 — Delivered for the portal
Master film + skimmable 15-second cut for social + GIF snippets for the portal's hero banner.
Application, animated.
Frames from the QDB online-application explainer — entrepreneurs, SMEs, individuals.
